Based in Orlando, Florida, Queenie Clips is a family business that works to create beautiful, handmade hair accessories for anyone and everyone.
My name is Angelina and when I was a child, my mother created Queenie Clips. After searching restlessly for the perfect hairclip for my little head, she came to this conclusion– “I’ll make it myself.” The first Queenie Clip was a small bow; black, white, and fuchsia with a skull right in the middle of it. Once that bow was in my hair, there was nothing that could stop the creation of Queenie Clips.
When I was a freshman at UCF, I found out about the weekly holiday of Market Day. Creatives selling handmade products, small businesses promoting their brands, and so much more every week. I immediately sent my mother photos of the booths and said one thing. “We could do this together.” After that, the journey of bringing back Queenie Clips begun.
